Carmichael Little League is a non-profit, all volunteer, recreational baseball organization. As such we rely on our families to help in delivering this exceptional program each year. Volunteering a small amount of your time during the season is expected as it spreads the burden over the entire league. Each family is required to give a minimum of 8 hours for one child in the league, 14 hours for two children in the league and 20 hours for 3 or more children in the league. You are responsible for finding volunteer opportunities that fit your schedule and fulfill your commitment. Your team will have scheduled concession hours, and if you checked volunteer options on your registration form you will be contacted by the event coordinators, but ultimately it is your responsibility to fulfill your volunteer commitment.
Every family receives a Volunteer Hours Form on which to record the hours you contribute to the league. This is the only form that is accepted by the League to track your hours. It can be downloaded from our website should you misplace it or need another form or during the season there is a supply kept at the concession stand. This form contains easy to follow instructions and the League’s mailing address and should be turned in at the conclusion of each event. Within one week of turning in your Volunteer Form you should receive a confirmation email stating that your hours have been recorded. If you do not receive a confirmation email you should fill out and turn in a new form right away while what you did is fresh in your mind. All volunteer hours should be completed and recorded by the end of the calendar year. You will be sent an email in June if the League records show that your volunteer hour commitment has not been met. In the event that you do not complete your volunteer hours commitment, a $100 penalty will be assessed for each child registered in the league.
